Enhancing the heritage of Italian opera productions and prose theatres through ICT tools and methods: this is the ambitious goal of the CANTICO project, officially presented this morning at the San Vittorino Auditorium in Benevento.

Among those present: Caterina Meglio, President of the Conservatorio di Musica “Nicola Sala” in Benevento, Clemente Mastella, Mayor of Benevento, Luigi Nicolais, Research Policy Advisor to the Minister of University and Research Annamaria Bernini, Gerardo Canfora, Rector of the University of Sannio, Giosuè Grassia, Director of the Conservatory, Giuseppe di Giovambattista, R&D Manager at Innovaway, and Antonio Giacomini, CEO of Innovaway.

CANTICO is a research project co-funded by the European Union, ranked first place in the Horizon 2020 - PON “Research and Innovation” 2014/2020 call for the “Design, Creativity and Made in Italy” specialization area issued by MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research).

CANTICO stands as a one-of-a-kind initiative both nationally and internationally.

Its key goals include:

– Training the artists of tomorrow with immersive technologies that enhance learning and creativity.
– Improving theatres' programming capabilities through advanced tools for data collection and analysis.
