You walk into a dealership to change your car—and suddenly, a young woman appears to guide you, showcase available models, and answer your questions. This is thanks to Asso, the holographic assistant created for automotive dealers by Innovaway, an ICT company with seven offices across Italy and abroad, 600 employees, and 21 years of history.
The “lady” in question is a life-size hologram housed in a robust cabinet that engages with you as soon as you get near. A webcam detects your presence and automatically activates Asso. The captivating hologram invites the visitor to ask questions and navigate options via a touch screen device.
Among the first to implement this was Autosantoro Hyundai at its new showroom inside the La Fabbrica shopping center in Salerno—with promising results.
“Traffic and dwell time of potential customers increased by 50%, with sales rising by about 20%,” explains Antonio Giacomini, CEO of Innovaway.
Asso was developed following strategic guidelines from a dedicated advisory board, which includes former minister and CNR president Luigi Nicolais, and Giorgio Ventre, director of the Apple Developer Academy in Naples.
