Innovaway has officially completed the acquisition of the Banking & Insurance Business Unit from Olisistem Start, ensuring job continuity for 300 employees. The strategic deal, initiated two years ago and carried through despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, strengthens Innovaway’s footprint in the financial services sector and deepens its relationship with Intesa Sanpaolo.
This acquisition marks a significant step in Innovaway’s broader growth journey. Olisistem Start has been a trusted provider of IT services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to Intesa Sanpaolo and other major financial institutions in Italy and internationally.
Over the past 24 months, Innovaway has successfully integrated the acquired business unit into its distributed service delivery model, enhancing flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and operational resilience. Today, services are provided not only from the original hubs in Turin, Milan, and Rome, but also from Naples and the new office in Benevento, which is expected to grow significantly.
“The completion of this acquisition is a major milestone in our strategic expansion,” stated Antonio Giacomini, CEO of Innovaway. “It reinforces our ability to deliver high-value digital transformation services with distinctive skills and industrial strength. Navigating such a complex operation has proven Innovaway’s reliability and resilience in facing future market challenges.”
Innovaway's offering spans:
Technological and application support
Administrative back-office operations
Complex infrastructure and service management
Customer relationship and sales network support
This diverse service portfolio reflects Innovaway’s deep-rooted expertise in banking and insurance.
“Despite the criticalities of the Covid-19 pandemic,” added Antonio Burinato, General Manager of Innovaway, “we worked closely with Intesa Sanpaolo to maintain excellent service continuity. Now it’s time to further consolidate the structure within Innovaway. Our goal is to continue supporting Intesa Sanpaolo while scaling the organization for future challenges.”
Burinato also emphasized Innovaway’s role in supporting Intesa Sanpaolo’s external growth strategy, particularly during the integration of UBI Banca and several insurance companies. The company responded with agility—expanding training programs, onboarding new resources, and maintaining client-centric performance through its multi-site delivery model, ensuring high service quality standards under all conditions.
