Innovaway has coordinated the technological development of the INFANT project, confirming its active role in innovation in the health sector.
Developed by the Automated Strategic Reasoning laboratory of the Università Federico II di Napoli, under the coordination of Prof. Aniello Murano, the project confirms Innovaway’s expertise in the field of the most advanced technologies, including in the area of e-Health.
The INFANT pilot project is dedicated to the development in Campania of a computer network for pediatric oncology, aimed at significantly improving the lives of many children affected by cancer and their families. The objective is to support the hospitalization of young patients in nearby hospitals, avoiding the uprooting of family groups from their social contexts and limiting the so-called health migration.
In addition, the solution allows all healthcare facilities in Campania to access the clinical records and treatment protocols of young patients through an efficient and secure platform, ensuring continuity of care and uniformity of treatment across the entire regional territory.
In the role of leader of the technological partnership, Innovaway has assumed the strategic governance of the entire project ecosystem, orchestrating not only the technical-administrative and managerial aspects, but also acting as a catalyst for innovation thanks to its heritage of expertise in Industrial Research and new technologies. In particular, the company has shared its experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence applied to areas such as: data analytics, predictive systems, Generative AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation, knowledge representation, algorithms and standards for digital sanità, data security and governance, also handling scouting, co-design, development, and prototype testing.
INFANT has seen the collaboration of Innovaway with three other technological partners: Kineton, Nexus, and Lasting Dynamics, who provided specific expertise in multi-cloud infrastructure, AI algorithms applied to e-Health, system integration, and user experience.
“È encomiabile la capacità degli ingegneri, sviluppatori e programmatori di Innovaway nel trasformare concetti della mia ricerca scientifica in azioni, strumenti e piattaforme centrali per lo sviluppo di INFANT.”
(It is commendable the ability of Innovaway’s engineers, developers, and programmers to transform concepts from my scientific research into actions, tools, and central platforms for the development of INFANT.)
(“INFANT expresses the strategic vision of Innovaway: a company that has made industrial research its DNA, constantly investing in R&D to design and test innovative solutions with tangible impact not only on the economic-productive level but also socially,” declares Antonio Giacomini, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Innovaway. “An approach that draws vital energy from solid and long-lasting relationships with the academic and scientific world, contributing to concretely improving critical areas for the country’s system such as healthcare, for the benefit of communities and the most vulnerable, particularly children.”)
Looking to the future of INFANT, Innovaway hopes, in addition to the consolidation of technical-scientific expertise, for an expansion of the platform’s implementation, to replicate the model being tested in Campania in other regions of the country and across Europe, spreading its benefits.
Innovaway’s commitment to the health sector is confirmed by its solid experience in the development of digital solutions for the management and integration of clinical data, support for diagnostics, and the creation of platforms for continuity of care and centralized booking systems.
The company’s expertise has also been developed thanks to long-term strategic collaborations. Among these, the partnership with the ASTREA Laboratory represents a component of the multi-year relationship between Innovaway and the Università Federico II di Napoli, particularly with the D.I.E.T.I. department and Prof. Murano, which began in 2019 with the Urban Mobility SENECA project under the Borgo 4.0 initiative.
