Philadelphia, 2024 — After more than 25 years of success in Italy and Europe, building a trusted network of over 300 clients, Innovaway officially launched operations in the United States with a new office in Philadelphia. This week, during an AI-focused event hosted by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) in New York, Innovaway outlined its ambitious plans for the U.S. market.
Founded in Naples in 1998, Innovaway has grown from a traditional IT services provider into a digital transformation leader. Today, AI is at the center of its expansion strategy—and the key to unlocking the next chapter of growth.
“If a bot called you, you wouldn’t be able to tell it’s not human,” said Stefano Martiniani, assistant professor at NYU, where he teaches physics, chemistry, mathematics, and neuroscience.
“This is the golden era of AI. There’s a sense of transformation in both the IT industry and our daily lives.”
Martiniani emphasized that while AI can’t replace seasoned IT professionals—due to its tendency to hallucinate—it can significantly enhance the productivity of experienced engineers by automating repetitive tasks and surfacing potential issues faster.
Professor Antonio Giordano, president of the Sbarro Health Research Organization, expanded the discussion to AI in medicine. He referenced Pfizer’s use of AI-driven platforms to develop the COVID-19 vaccine in 2020 and the Mayo Clinic’s use of AI to detect genetic markers in radiology scans today.
Bogdan Stavrev, Innovaway’s International Digital & Data Services Director, shared insights from the healthcare space, noting a 50% reduction in medical staff burnout due to AI relieving duplicated efforts.
Antonio Burinato, General Manager of Innovaway, acknowledged that AI is accelerating disruption in the IT industry:
“This event is a chance to tell the U.S. market: we are here. It’s a crucial test to prove we can compete globally.”
Philippe Rouvrais, Chief International Business Officer and CEO of Innovaway USA, echoed that sentiment:
“We have a strong presence in legacy IT. But now, we’re shifting our focus to expand our service capabilities toward AI. We’ll only grow where it adds real value to our clients.”
According to Ventsislav Kassamski, Innovaway’s International Sales Director, the company’s AI-powered solutions help clients become up to 40% faster than the competition:
“The best place to hide content is page two of Google—nobody clicks there. We help our clients reach page one.”
One of Innovaway’s first U.S. partnerships was announced with ManpowerGroup, a global staffing and recruitment leader. Carolyn Balkin, SVP of IT at Manpower, attended the event and emphasized that:
“Despite AI’s power, talent remains the foundation of every successful strategy.”
With over 1,000 professionals, $16 million in annual revenue, and 4x growth in the last eight years, Innovaway’s momentum is strong. The U.S. launch marks a strategic leap into one of the world’s most competitive and innovation-driven markets.
“We believe the U.S. will be just as successful for us as Italy,” said Burinato.
“With AI, automation, and cloud-native solutions, we're helping businesses operate smarter, scale faster, and innovate with confidence.”
