Rome, Oct. 1 – Innovaway, a company specialized in advanced IT solutions and services for enterprises and Public Administrations, has led the technological development of the INFANT project, confirming its active role in healthcare innovation.

Developed by the Automated Strategic Reasoning Lab (Astrea) at the University of Naples Federico II, under the coordination of Professor Aniello Murano—a professor of Computer Science and AI at the university—the pilot project was presented at the Royal Palace of Portici in Naples, and is part of the MUSA (Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action) innovation ecosystem led by the University of Milan. It is funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The project is dedicated to building a digital network for pediatric oncology in the Campania region, with the goal of significantly improving the lives of children affected by cancer and their families. The core objective is to ensure care close to home, avoiding the uprooting of families from their social environments and reducing so-called medical migration.

Furthermore, the solution allows all healthcare facilities in Campania to access clinical records and treatment protocols of young patients through a secure and efficient platform, guaranteeing continuity of care and standardization of treatment across the entire regional territory.

As the lead partner of the technology consortium, Innovaway assumed the strategic governance of the entire project ecosystem, orchestrating not only technical, administrative, and management aspects, but also acting as a catalyst of innovation through its strong expertise in industrial research and emerging technologies.

INFANT was developed in partnership with Kineton, Nexus, and Lasting Dynamics.
