Mariam and Toma join Innovaway for a three-month learning experience
Two promising students from Georgia, Mariam Zenaishvili and Toma Pirtskheliani, winners of the 2023 edition of “STEM Study Visit To Italy”—the National Award for Georgia’s top young innovators—have arrived in Italy to begin their journey at Innovaway.
The National STEM Award, launched in 2019 through a technical-scientific cooperation agreement between Fondazione COTEC Italia and GITA (Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency), with the support of the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi, offers two Georgian innovators each year a three-month scholarship in leading Italian technology hubs or companies. The program provides an intensive work experience in the world of Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation.
This year, Innovaway is proud to host the scholarship recipients. Mariam and Toma will undertake a learning journey focused on Data Analyst development, working on the creation of a managerial dashboard for HR decision-making, aimed at better understanding and managing human capital. The project’s main “client” is Antonella Alberti, Chief People & Organization Officer at Innovaway, while the project tutor is Gianluca Altieri, Digital Experience Manager.
Luigi Nicolais, President of Fondazione COTEC, commented:
“Mariam and Toma will have the opportunity to engage with the innovation ecosystem of Campania—one of the South’s true gems! This initiative, hosted at Innovaway’s Naples office and promoted in collaboration with Materias, highlights our shared commitment to enhancing the skills of young Georgian innovators in technical-scientific fields, encouraging the development of joint projects that generate value.”
Antonio Giacomini, CEO of Innovaway, added:
“We are especially proud to have been selected as a key partner in the STEM Study Visit to Italy – 2023. It is a unique and prestigious opportunity to share and strengthen digital skills aligned with top European standards.”
“We warmly welcome Mariam and Toma. Their presence at Innovaway for the next three months will be a two-way enrichment. Our company has long been committed to nurturing young talent in essential fields like technological innovation and digital transformation. The future of the global economy depends on digital competencies, and it’s vital to take bold, cooperative actions to guide talent in that direction. We thank our partners—Georgia’s Innovation & Technology Agency, Materias, Cotec, and the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi—for their trust and support.”
